In the eyes of the beholder…
Beauty is what is pleasant to your eyes, heart, and mind…
You might see that something is “beautiful”, while others don’t, that’s why they say that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder…
But why does this happen?
The thing is that beauty is very subjective… It depends not only on your personality, but also on the country you live in, and the culture you have grown up on… Your culture defines an ideal model of beauty, that you subconsciously compare its features to anything else; whether it is a place, a person, an object, or even a mere idea… In other words, you know what beauty is; by the way you define it…
However, what we always seem to fail to recognize is the fact that there is actually beauty in almost everything and everyone … It doesn’t have to be physically observed; it can be what’s inside of a person, and how they treat others; it can be their kindness, sensitivity, or compassion that actually delights your heart…
See, true beauty lies in the heart and in the spirit, and this is what makes it genuine…
